Barcelona, 2 June 2016 – Chiesi Farmaceutici has appointed Giuseppe Chiericatti as the company's new General Manager for the Spanish market. After almost two decades with the company, during which he has held various positions in several of its subsidiaries and in Corporate, Chiericatti will lead Chiesi España's business management team.

Giuseppe Chiericatti holds a degree in Chemistry and Pharmaceutical Technology from the University of Modena in Italy and trained as a biochemical researcher at the University of California, San Francisco. The MD has accrued a wealth of international experience within the company, both in managing the launch of various products as well as in leading numerous business departments. His professional activities over recent years have given him a 360º perspective of Chiesi Farmaceutici.
Chiericatti has held the position of Corporate Marketing Head for Chiesi Farmaceutici since 2010, during which time he was responsible for the launch of various pharmaceutical products, including Foster, Curosurf, Bramitob and Envarsus. He also led the Rare Diseases Business Unit and sits on the Chiesi Farmaceutici Executive Committee.
He began his career as a Sales Representative at the Italian subsidiary before becoming a Product Manager at Chiesi Corporate, where he founded and coordinated the company's European Advisory Board for Hypertension. Giuseppe subsequently led the Marketing and Business Development team at Asche Chiesi GmbH, the company's German subsidiary in Hamburg, where he was responsible for the launch of three products. His professional career then took him to the subsidiary Trinity-Chiesi Pharmaceuticals Ltd. in Manchester, where he led the Respiratory Business Unit before returning to Italy to take on the role of Corporate Marketing Head, which he held until his move to Spain.
